Wahine Charters

The Wicked Wahine is a charter boat operation which departs from Honokohau Harbor in Kailua-Kona to enjoy wild dolphin swims, reef snorkels, Manta Ray night snorkels, whale watches and tours to the Captain Cook Monument and marine reserve in Kealakekua. Taking a maximum of only 12 people, their 29' Coast Guard Certified power vessel with comfortable padded seating, a bathroom and shaded area when you need it, is clean, efficient and well designed. Although Wahine Charters encounters wild sea life on its multiple voyages it acts responsibly when visiting these beautiful animals. Aggressive behavior toward any sea creatures is not in the playbook, and although they may get close to these animals on the boat, or swim close to these animals in the water, the proximity of the encounter is always determined by the animal itself.

Sailing charters on the Big Island of Hawaii generally depart from the Kona side of the island. Because Kona is usually protected from the stiff tradewinds by the enormous volcanoes behind, these sails are often gentle in nature and are a great way to experience the beauty of Hawaii's ocean and sealife.

Watersports are the perfect Hawaii activity for anyone young or old! For excitement, choose the "touch and go." On the way down, instead of just reeling you onto the boat they let you linger awhile above the ocean surface - just before they dunk you.
