Parasailing Rides

Parasailing Has An Appeal to All Ages of People.

Hawaii parasailing is thrilling, exciting and fun!

Parasailing in Hawaii has an appeal that transcends age as it is a favorite of youngsters and surprisingly is an activity that is also enjoyed by senior citizens as well.

Who among us has not had dreams about flying and taking a parasail flight is one of the best ways to approximate this age old and primal yearning.

With 'length of pull-rope' choices extending on some Hawaii parasail companies to as long as 1000' you can ascend to tremendous heights in a matter of minutes.

Before you know it you are looking down at the pull boat which at those heights looks like a miniature toy boat in a bathtub.

Looking around, you will notice that you are higher than any buildings that may be on the coastline and you will be almost startled by the realization of just how quiet everything is at that altitude.

In fact the most oft repeated initial perception reported by first-time parasailers is that they were shocked by the extreme quiet with only the sound of the air gently rustling their cheeks.

It's safe to say that the extreme and totally unique perceptions that are apparent to people at this time lead one's imagination to understand that this experience is precisely the sense of what it must be like to fly.

The sensation you sought initially when deciding to take a parasail flight has become your current reality.

You are in the moment; you are flying like a bird; you are experiencing in some small way just a bit of 'nirvana'.

Hawaii Parasailing Tours Can Be Found on Oahu, Maui and the Big Island.

Of all the major Hawaiian Islands all of them offer parasail flights with the exception of Kauai.

On the leeward coastlines of Oahu, Maui and the Big Island the colorful sails of the parasail companies can be seen clearly against the backdrop of the blue skies.

Both Oahu and the Big Island run these parasailing rides all year long.

Since the leeward coastline of Maui is in a protected whale sanctuary zone in the winter months when the Whales come to visit, parasailing is not allowed between December 15th and May 15th.

The summertime on Maui will bring the return of the parasail tours and during this period the horizon will be dotted with a seemingly never-ending series of multicolored parasails from dawn to dusk and at times it is difficult to make a reservation.

Hawaii parasailing can be enjoyed by one or two persons at a time in a single shute and the time it takes per ride can vary, dependent upon the height of your flight from between eight to as much as fifteen minutes.

This may not seem like a lot of time for an individual parasail flight, but just wait until you are up there.

It seems as though time has stopped (or perhaps that the universe has become infinite).

Either way you come away from the flight thinking that the price of entry for this new experience has been rewarded 'in spades'.
