The Pi'iholo Ranch is one of the newest offerings of X-treme Activities to hit Maui. With five double ziplines riders can share the experience with a friend as they hurl down the parallel lines side by side. The course routes itself back and forth across a large gulch. The lines actually cross over each other at times so you might be able to even get a flyby of a rider on another line as you make your way across. The Pi'iholo Ranch is located right in the heart of upcountry Maui, just above the cowboy town of Makawao. This location high up on the mountain makes for a great vantage point to catch views extending from the North Shore, across the isthmus of the island all the way to the Southern Shore. The guides of Pi'iholo Ranch are all mostly locally raised on Maui. They generally stop at various points along the way to point out different native plants and animals, as well as to tell some historic cultural stories and just share some good local humor.
Found of the slopes of Haleakala at about the 2500' level just a couple of miles above the 'cowboy' town of Makawao is found the Piiholo Ranch. This working cattle ranch is the home of the most beautiful meadowland horseback riding area on the island as well as the home of two of the most popular zipline courses to be found on Maui.
