What if there is no wind?

I had a friend who went out on a Big Island sailing charter and never had enough wind to really sail. Does this happen a lot?

Answer:

It can happen as Mother Nature does not always cooperate. Play the averages though. Best time of the day for wind would be in the afternoon and the best time of year for sustained trade winds would be May through September.

Generally there is plenty of wind to put the sails up
