Since "Cruiser Bob" first pioneered the original Haleakala bike ride decades ago the format of the rides has changed, but the industry has remained the same in many ways. While Bob has long since left the industry, distinct larger then life individuals have followed in his footsteps and continue to rule the mountain. Some of these Haleakala bike ride personalities are Billy and Billy, the owners and operators of Easy Riders.
Both Billy's have a great deal of experience in the Haleakala biking industry and have at one point in their careers worked for most of the companies that offer the tour. Things changed in the beginning of 2011 when they started their own service called, "Easy Riders". When they became owner-operations of their own company they immediately zeroed in on a niche that they observed, that nobody in the industry was capitalizing on. They immediately began operating a half day tour that did not waste anytime going to the top of the mountain and instead took their time riding the bikes as long as possible, traveling from the park entrance to the beach in the coastal town of Paia. The Billy's stopped the ride along the way for pictures, food and photos at many different locations on the way down the hill. Even with all the stops we still managed to make in back to Baldwin Beach in less then four hours.
With all their experience in the industry, the Billy's of Easy Riders know that the quality of the guides can make or break the experience of the client and in turn overall reputation of a company. They also know that nobody likes to be crowded into a van rubbing elbows with people they don't know, so they minimize their tours to groups of eight people so (so each couple has a bench seat to share in the van). They also personally lead each tour so they know that every tour will be led with the same high quality customer service. From the reviews we've been getting from clients it seems like this has been working well for them, because in the short time that they've been in operation they have been steadily going up in rank on some of the industries largest review sites.
I think it is safe to say that if there is any single activity that an equestrian would enjoy on their trip to the Hawaiian islands, it is CJM Country Stables.

When we checked in at the Outfitters Kauai office in Poipu the clouds were close to the ground, covering the ground with a light mist. It seemed like it would probably burn off in the next few hours, but for the time being it provided a much cooler climate then is normally found on the sunny south side of Kauai.
The first of all of the Hawaiian Islands to have helicopter tours on it was the island of Kauai. Once you go to Kauai, you will understand that this was no coincidence.
Rarely will you find a boat that is so well suited to the excursion that it goes it as the boat that is operated by Liko Kauai Cruises. Their 49 foot catamaran is powered with twin 260hp inboards and the overall design is fairly narrow.
We met up with Captain Zodiac office at their office, located on edge of the Honokohau Harbor about ten minutes north of Kona. When I showed up the people at the office greeted me and then directed me where to meet up with the boat.

If you are in decent shape and want to do something worth telling your friends about once you get home you should consider doing a Kayaking trip down the Napali Coast on Kauai.
Umauma Ziplines is located on the northern coast of the Hilo side of the Big Island. The location requires participants from Hilo to take a short drive up the Hamakua coastline to the ranch.
