A quick and easy way to visit the island of Molokini and also see the turtles off the coastline of Makena is to leave from the Kihei boat ramp on the 39' aluminum hulled S.A.F.E boat (Secured Around Flotation Equipment). The "Sea Fire" takes out small groups with as few as six people and as large as twenty-one persons. This assures a personalized experience and lots of interaction with the captain and those on board. Molokini will be the first snorkel destination, and the second destination will be determined by the weather and sea conditions of the day. However, it will usually be to some place in Makena, Five Graves, or even La Perouse Bay. This tour is about three hours long. The Sea Fire also has an abbreviated tour that only goes to Molokini and runs for just two hours.
One of the quickest snorkel runs to Molokini can be taken on the 39' aluminum hulled speed boat run by Sea Fire. Sea Fire departs from the closest harbor to Molokini which is the Kihei Boat Ramp and since the boat is one of the fastest to be found it will arrive at Molokini in the shortest time possible.
