The Black Rock on Kaanapali Beach is one of the most famous landmarks in the area. It is an ancient lava flow that made its way to the ocean and divided the beautiful white sands of Kaanapali Beach. The Sheraton Hotel is located here, and the black rock is well known for the nightly dive that is made off the cliffs after the torches are lit along the path of the lava. This is also the home of the Sheraton Maui Nui Luau. The entertainment and show that is presented here is produced by Tihati Productions, which is well known for its expertise in presenting the culture of the South Pacific and Hawaii through song and dance. Your luau feast will consist of traditional luau fare, which will include Kalua Pork steamed in an underground oven called an "imu." Other foods will be chicken long-rice, haupia, poi, lots of meat, fish, chicken, and delicious deserts as well as plenty of refreshing drinks.
