Many of our clients are not even aware of the fact that we offer fixed wing aerial tours in addition to helicopter tours. These flights are normally a bit less expensive and many people have commented that they are a much smoother ride. I really like that most of them have the option of opening the window so you can get a clear view for taking pictures. I've noticed that the planes tend to vibrate less then the helicopters, and they generally fly a more predictable flight path then the helicopters which makes it a bit easier to get the proper timing on your photos.
I weigh about 300 lbs and have been turned away by the helicopter companies for a flight around Kauai because my weight is in excess of the allowed limits.
We will be staying on Maui in October but would like to see the live volcanoes on the Big Island. Is there a helicopter tour that will take us to see them?
Today we did a trip that I think is one of the best values that we have on our entire site. We went on a 70 minute long air tour around the entire island of Kauai in a 6 passenger Airvan.
Today we had something happen that was slightly out of the ordinary. We were on an air tour around Kauai with Airventures Air Tours, when out of the depths of the ocean underneath us appeared a pod of massive Humpback Whales.
Until I got to experience a ride on a glider for myself I had no idea how cool these machines are. When to tow line dropped and we were on our own we really were quietly coasting through the air like a bird.
The air tour that I did today with Iolani Air was for lack of a better word......perfect. I will try to contain me excitement as I go over the reasons of why I so thoroughly enjoyed my experience.
Hawaii air tours are fundamentally divided into two categories: Hawaii airplane tours, and helicopter tours. Because these two categories of aircraft are inexorably lumped together it is important to draw a comparison between the two because people always want a contrast to determine which might provide a better Hawaii air flight for them.
