We loved it!! This was out 2nd time and would recommend it to anyone!
Summary: Awesome crew, nice boat, great food and drinks (unlimited included). Didn't see much of the sunset because of return time, but did see many whales. Wear swim trunks, shorts, or a skirt to get on/off the boat from Kaanapali Beach (you can get wet up to waist), and you will turn in your shoes/sandals before you get on the boat (barefoot sailing). Also, no tables on the deck of the ship; you'll have to hold a drink with one hand while holding a plate for food and somehow maintain your balance (but it's worth it). My wife and I sailed aboard a Trilogy catamaran for a Sunset Cocktail Cruise leaving from Kaanapali Beach, in front of the Kaanapali Beach Hotel. Carrie was the crew member that checked us in in front of the activity shack right before the beach. She explained how we would be boarding the vessel as it pushed against the beach while we would run on with her timing the waves. She collected our shoes and then we lined up single file to prepare for our run. When she says "go," you go and don't hesitate (or you will get wet). Once on board, we made our way out to sea a bit. We were introduced to the captain and first mate (both very nice), given a safety briefing, then served some drinks and snacks. Carrie made it a point to learn everybody's name and address them by their name throughout the trip. We saw many whales during our voyage, and got some great pictures/videos. The food was excellent, including: Kalua pork sandwich on Taro sweet roll, lobster spring roll with sweet chili sauce, cream cheese and spinach wraps, chicken satay skewers, and brownies for dessert. There was enough for repeat eats, and all courses were served by the crew as they made rounds to everyone scattered around the boat taking in the views and capturing whale memories. When all was said and done, we ran back on to the beach and got a bit wetter than desired, but we had a great time thanks to the crew and truly enjoyed the food and drinks aboard the Trilogy vessel. This was an excellent activity.
