Waipio Legends and Lore Waterfall Adventure - Ride The Rim
This is a 9 to 10 mile, 3 hour waterfall adventure through an aromatic eucalyptus forest, scented with flowering gingers and seasonal fruit, on mountain terrain suitable for riders of all abilities (16 thru 85 years old - on quads, side by sides or buggies (specializing in ATV virgins). Beginning at the 800 feet elevation we immediately climb to the top and back of the Valley at 2,000 feet and swim in a waterfall that is the headwaters of the famed Hi'ilawe Falls - the longest single-drop fall in the state. There you can enjoy complimentary snacks and beverages. Then begin the descent to lookouts over the Valley with vistas that include the longest black sand in the state, multiple taro patches under cultivation, wild horses and remnants of ancient fish ponds built by the first people to use aquaculture, the Ancient Hawaiians. Our mountain is watershed to Waipi'o and has gazillions of puddles and lots of mud (sometimes dust) for your enjoyment. This is a "get down and get as dirty as you want tour". We go rain or shine, but not in down pours, winds or storms. Ride the Rim is Hawaii's fountain of Youth as husbands regress and act SIXTEEN ! Our changing facilities are quite primitive, so wear your swimsuits under your clothing and bring a towel. Water shoes are suggested as the smooth river rocks are slippery. The waterfall pool is usually only chest deep in most spots. As this area is a watershed, there are times when the water is high and we reserve the right to cancel swimming when the conditions are clearly hazardous.

Best adventure ever! My husband and I loved it! Our daughters, 10 and 12 thought it was awesome!
Great ride, great guides, awesome scenery. I would have loved the opportunity to go a little faster on the trails, but my wife was fine with our pace. I like to go fast....I would recommend this trip to everyone.
The ride through the Eucalyptus forest was pretty. Riding to the waterfall and then playing in the water was refreshing. The ATV's were great and the guides were very nice and helpful.
Excellent tour!! The scenery was just fantastic, and the guides (Brandon, Pat, Omar and Jamie) were very professional and helpful along the way. It was great to have the "driving lesson" before being put out on the trail, in case there were any people who were not comfortable. I gave a more detailed review yesterday on Trip Advisor, so please check in there for more details. Thanks for such a wonderful experience. Rebe and Bill Kenned
Lots of fun! Visually stunning. Top blokes !!
Had a great time. Beautiful scenery. The view of the Valley were spectacular. Got lots of history about the Hawaiian culture-the guides are very proud of their heritage. Very bumpy ride-not a activity for those with back or hand arthritis. Overall, great fun. Use GPS to find the start office
This was a fantastic ride. This is not an extreme ATV ride, but was a beautiful ride through the forest with some excellent views of the Waipio Valley below. The swim in the waterfall was really fun too. Our whole family enjoyed it without exception! Guides were excellent as well. We recommend this to anyone!
Great adventure and lots of fun. The ATV's were easy to use and the tour guides seemed to know the area and you could tell how much they loved that land and the place they call home. Would recommend. It was a little cloudy so we didn't get to see the waterfall but that is just how the cookie crumbles.
