Average Product Rating: 4.2 / 5
I went on this boat because it was one of the larger boats that goes to Molokini. I was worried about getting seasick but it was smooth until the very end when the wind came up. I saw 2 turtles. There were quite a lot of people on the boat which made for a long lunch line which is why I gave it only 4 out of 5 stars.
What can I say except this was one of the funnest days ever. The entire staff was helpful and fun, and the beauty of Hawaii.....well, stunning. The ride back was especially a blast. I very much appreciated the speed of pushing through the choppy ocean because I tend to get seasick if the boat is slowly rocking. We got soaking wet and it was so much fun. When I did a similar trip in Kauai, it was a disaster. This was a great excursion.
Second time to Maui, second snorkelling tour to Molokini, this time with Pride Charters. This was the best tour !!! From the start, very organized, we boarded with ease, had coffee and endless pastry even before we left shore. The crew were awesome, very informative and approachable. The captain got us involved in the whale sightings and provided us with very important information pertaining to their habitat and migration patterns. We snorkelled at two locations like advertised and were not disappointed. It was safety first all the way, a crew member was with us in the water at all times for safety and turtle spotting. ( there were many ) The lunch was very good and the portions were huge. Again, it was the best organized tour we were ever on. !!
We only got to snorkel at Molokini due to high waves. They didn't even attempt to go to another site. We saw a fair amount of fish, but only about 4 varieties of fish. The continental breakfast was OK. They ran out of food for lunch. I only got a hamburger and a few veggies/carrot sticks . I think they were more interested in making money off the extra items: underwater cameras, wet suits, snuba diving, etc. For the price, I wouldn't take this tour again.
it was very nice but the water was very choppy which from what I understand is usual with the trade winds. this should be told to customers.
