Kilauea After Dark - Nui Pohaku
Learn the history and geology of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and Kilauea Volcano, one of the most active volcanoes in the world.
Visit a Black Sand Beach before a short leisurely hike along the crater rim, which will lead you through the lush rainforest and lava tube. Stop at the Jagger Museum with its real time seismographs, eruption footage and beautiful displays of lava and Hawaiian geology. After dinner, you will depart on your Kilauea after dark adventure making many stops along the way. Due to the nature of the volcano, the conditions change constantly, but we will do our very best to show you the amazing glow of the lava lake just below the surface of Halemaumau Crater. This molten lava is reflected in the gas plume above it when the conditions are right and sends a beautiful glow into the night sky.

I really enjoyed my tour, my guides were Nohe, Amanda, and Tyler, they did a fantastic job. I was in Hilo, so I can't comment on anything from the Kona side. I will say they are amazingly knowledgeable, fun, and the tour was good. The glow from the lava pool is very cool, and the trip is fun! Would definitely go again!
