The Maui Downhill sunrise tour and bike ride was awesome. RC and Tony were exceptional guides.
It was hard picking which bike company to go with, because there were so many. We had two requests, it had to pick us up at the hotel and it had to be the best tour on the island. Maui Downhill met our expectations. The bus driver got us to the top of the mountain before any other tour. We had the best spots picked out before any other tourist arrived. The downhill guide was an absolute pro at reassuring everyone, keeping us together and avoiding injuries. I would recommend Maui Downhill again and again.
The sunrise was beautiful but the bike ride was uneventful and boring. The various stops along the way are unnecessary and the lunch stop at the end at 9:30 serves not purpose. I realize they cannot make money without tacking something on to the sunrise but it would have been a lot cheaper and easier to just drive my own car up to watch the sunrise and then head back to my hotel to bed
Great tour - the 2 guides are super knowledgeable and friendly! Definitely recommend even for people not accustomed to biking...they make it easy!
