Get yourself something to eat for breakfast the night before. We didn't know nothing would be open this early and had to do it on empty stomachs until lunch. 17 miles actually wasn't that bad, we had the best view of the Na Pali coast and got to go in a few caves. However the paddle did seem longer and would have been more fun had one of our guides not had such a terrible attitude.
I signed up our four family members to do this tour. My 18-year-old son was the only one that kayaked, unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances that day. My son, however, had an unforgettable experience and was very glad to have gone. He said that it was a lot of work, but it is an experience he will never forget. Another reviewer had mentioned that it is the "Mount Everest of Kayaking," and I agree wholeheartedly. A must-do for the adventurous!
