Surf Lesson - Hawaiian Surfing Adventures

Learn to surf in the warm waters off of Kaua'i. The first 30 minutes will be a class on shore. You will learn how to watch the ocean and the waves, talk about ocean safety, learn how to paddle, how you should position yourself on the board as well as how to start reading the waves. The remainder of the time will be spent in the ocean, where you will learn to stand up, hear about some basic rules of practice when surfing, and get any questions you may have answered. Then, you can practice surfing for an hour on your own.
Operates: Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9:00am,and 12:00pm.
Departure Point: Office in Princeville.
Duration: Each session is approximately 1.5 hours long.
Equipment: Soft top surfboard.
Capacity: 4 students per instructor.

Inclusions: Instruction and equipment. This activity is accessible by wheelchair and walker. Restrictions may apply.
Exclusions: Special discount coupon given lesson day to each student for same day or another day rental! Returning students can rent boards for 10% off the regular price.
Serves Alcohol: There is not any alcohol available during the activity.
Foreign Language Translation: There is no foreign language translation available.
Handicapped Accessible: Participants who use a walker can go on this tour. Participants who require a wheelchair can go on this tour.
Required Certifications: The participant is not required to have any certification or special license in order to participate.
Restrictions: Cancellations of this reservation cannot be made within forty-eight hours of the scheduled check in time.

There is a 10% cancellation fee on all reservations, no matter when the cancellation is made. We have a 48 hour cancellation policy, and a re-booking fee of $20 - $50 may apply. We do have to shuttle our students to and from their lesson. This cannot include family members due to space, but they are welcome to drive down and watch if they wish. Bring a towel and sunscreen.

Hanalei Bay was a great place to learn to surf. We had a local father and son (Mitch and Mitch Jr.) as our guides who had been surfing for years and knew everything about the sport and the ocean.
