Bike Kilauea Volcano - Bike Volcano
Enjoy an amazing guided bicycle tour of the Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park on the Big Island of Hawai'i and explore Kilauea Volcano from summit to sea. Your exciting day begins at the summit of Kilauea, which is currently erupting. You will bike around the rim of this erupting crater on off road trails and paved roads. Here you will get a chance to feel the heat of the volcano as you stand next to the steam vents. Periodically throughout the tour, your interpretive guide will share geological, mythological and botanical information with you. After leaving the summit crater, you will head through the lush ancient Hawaiian rain forest. Here you will see the incredible Kilauea Iki Crater and take a short hike through the rain forest to the famous Thurston Lava Tube as you are serenaded by native Hawaiian birds. The journey continues as you head down the Chain of Craters Road, where you will see a variety of pit craters and lava trees. See dynamic panoramic views of the ocean and lava landscapes as you travel the last four miles to the ocean by van. Enjoy the sea breeze as you are served a delectable lunch ocean side, and if Madame Pele (the Volcano Goddess) allows, you will see active lava going into the Pacific Ocean. Feel free to bike as much or as little of this breathtaking tour, as a support van will always be close by.

We enjoyed a wonderful and informative bike ride through the park! The guides, Pretty and Michael, were very helpful and informative about the landscape, Hawaiian lore, and history. They were very attentive to whatever needs that anybody had. We were given snacks and water all along the trail. Most of the ride was downhill, but there were a couple places where we rode uphill. They made our tour interesting. One of the best parts was being able to walk wherever we wanted on a lava flow and explore this unusual landscape. At the end of our ride, we were driven to the end of the Chain of Craters Road. We dined, picnic style, on a lava flow that ended at a huge cliff, ocean-side. Lovely ending for an interesting day!
Bike Kilauea volcano tour was wonderful! Our guides were knowledgeable and helpful. Our two teenagers really enjoyed it!
My husband and I had a great time on the volcano bike tour. It was a great way to see the park and learn about the volcanos.
