What's the difference of a 12 and Up and a Van Rider?
A van rider is a participant in the tour who will not ride the bikes down Haleakala, instead they ride in the “chase van” which follows the bikers down the mountain.
Had a fabulous time ! THIS is the way to see the sunrise at Haleakala. Charles was a great host/driver and the whole time was an experience we will never forget. Thank you for all your help.
Got to see the sunrise. Great ride down the mountain. Excellent glides.
This trip was amazing. The tour guide was great. We loved the biking down the mountain after seeing the lovely sunrise.
Excellent trip. On time pick up...smooth and safe drive up. Rodney and Mark were fun and filled with information. Bike ride down was safe and lots of fun. Nice breakfast at the bottom.
We enjoyed this tour and especially the bike ride down the volcano. We saw part of a sunrise and I got some good pictures. The van ride was a little uncomfortable sitting in the back row. The two outside seats were over the wheel well and there was very little room for legs. It was kind of claustrophobic, with very little air circulation. Other than that, we enjoyed the tour. By he driver, Hana was great as well as Mark, our guide.
Had a great time on this adventure. Our guides Rodney and Roland were fantastic. The sunrise was very chilly but the guides had additional outer wear for the weather. The bike ride was fun as well. The weather was perfect for viewing.
This tour was amazing! My husband and I were on the tour with Mark as our guide and Hanalea as our driver. Pick up at 2:30am was punctual and Hanalea's driving up the steep mountain was exceptional. The trip is well orchestrated, the bikes and motor cross helmets ensure your safety. Breakfast included at the Maui Lani golf course was delicious. The only negative thing I could say is that Mark could have used some type of speaker system while driving to Haleakala. He had a lot of information and history to impart and those of us T the back of the van could not hear him due to the noise of the van and the trailer with the bikes. Having said that I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone!
