Oahu Volcanic Rainforest Hike - Bike Hawaii
This hike adventure is recommended for intermediate hikers with above average fitness levels. Hike 2.5 miles one way through lush rain forest and volcanic cinder cone. Trek along the slopes of an ancient cinder cone volcano and explore a lush native forest preserve, offering sweeping views of Oahu's two parallel mountain ranges. Soak in majestic tropical island views as you take in a moderate hike to a 600 foot elevation gain. Rich in rare and endemic plant species, your guided 2 mile hike will meander through a native forest as it captures distant scenic views of the highest point of the Ko'olau Mountain range (Konahuanui at 3,150 feet), the highest point of Oahu (Mount Ka'ala at 4,025 feet), Le'ahi (Diamond Head) Crater, Honolulu, Waikiki, Pearl Harbor, Kailua, and the shimmering Pacific Ocean.
Operates: Monday and Friday at 9:00am.
Departure Point: Pick up from most hotels in the Waikiki area. Please be there 15 minutes prior to your pick up time.
Duration: Approximately 4 hours.
Equipment: Air conditioned 15 passenger adventure vans.
Capacity: 14 passengers.
Snacks and water.
Inclusions: Round-trip transportation from Waikiki, snacks, water bottle, optional waist pack, rain poncho and mosquito repellent.
Exclusions: Please wear socks that cover the ankles and closed-toe shoes with good traction suitable for hiking. Bring an extra pair of socks and sunscreen.

This hike is recommended for intermediate hikers with above average fitness levels. This is a moderate hike with an approximately 600 foot elevation gain. Wear socks that cover your ankles and closed-toe shoes with good traction for dirt and mud, and dress comfortably. An extra pair of socks is recommended. Departure times are subject to change.
