Marvel at Maui's unique underwater paradise aboard a high tech 48 passenger submarine. Guests view the unique fascinating natural coral reefs, fish and marine life in air conditioned comfort and safety, often to depths of 100 feet. All trips include a 10 minute narrated ocean cruise aboard the shuttle boat "Kapena" to the dive site with whale sightings in season, spectacular views of the Lahaina coastline, and the islands of Molokai and Lanai.
Operates: Daily departures at 9:00am, 11:00am, 12:00pm and 1:00pm Mid June to August 30 offers a 3:00pm tour.
Departure Point: Check in 30 minutes prior to tour at the Pioneer Inn. The Atlantis ticket office is facing the Front Street side of the Pioneer Inn. Board the Holokai shuttle boat at slip 18 in Lahaina Harbor for transfer to our submarine.
Duration: 1 hour and 50 minutes. Actual underwater tour time is 45 minutes.
Equipment: 65' air-conditioned submarine with 26 large, 2 foot diameter side view ports and one extra large 53' front view port.
Capacity: 48 passengers.
Inclusions: Guided submarine dive - sightseeing tour.
Restrictions: Children must be 36 inches of height or taller and all passengers must be physically capable of ascending and descending a near vertical ladder. This tour has a 48 hour cancellation policy. This means that once you're within 48 hours of the start time, the tour is non refundable. If you choose to cancel before this time, the standard 3% cancellation fee will apply. If the vendor needs to cancel your tour because of weather, a mechanical issue or any other reason you will receive a 100% refund of the price you paid. Pride of America Cruise Ship: Atlantis Submarine will not pick up cruise ship passengers at the cruise ship dock. These submarine tours can be reached via a taxi or Tom Barefoot's Tours could arrange for a rental car shuttle to pick you up directly at the dock. This submarine ride can be organized for the Sunday or Monday of your cruise ship schedule.

This was our first time on a working submarine. It was an unforgettable experience for us and the kids - the submarine and shuttle boat were in good condition, and the staff was great! This was a unique experience, and we don't regret doing it at all!

First time in a working submarine, and it was quite fascinating. My only disappointment was that the fish did not appear in color, as in the brochure. Submerging so deep within the ocean was the reason for this, so I am not putting blame on anyone. However, I wish the brochure would have mentioned this beforehand. Overall, a very unforgettable experience only exceeded by actually swimming near the fish on snorkeling adventures.

Well run activity. The crew was knowledgeable and fun. Riding on a submarine was pretty cool and once in a lifetime opportunity. Little pricy but kids enjoyed it. Glad we did it.
