Our West Maui Mountainside Off-Road Lahaina Adventure is conveniently located across the highway from Napili Market just minutes from Ka'anapali beach and Lahaina. Just above the Kapalua Airport, it consists of over 1,400 acres of fast riding terrain with the most breathtaking views of the ocean. This 2 hour adventure tour combines amazing riding conditions with breathtaking scenic views of the ocean combined with total immersion into Hawaiian culture and pristine nature. Maui Off Road Adventures has partnered with the Pu`u Kukui Watershed Preserve to not only offer one of the most amazing riding experiences ever but also to educate our guests on the beauty and importance of this beautiful preserve. Pu`u kukui means "hill of enlightenment". It is the summit of Mauna Kahalawai, the West Maui mountainside that forms a backdrop of Kapalua Resort. It is home to plant and animal species that exist nowhere else in Hawai`i, let alone the rest of the world. It's also one of the wettest spots on earth: Pu`u Kukui is a natural watershed on which Kapalua Resort and most of the West Maui community rely on for water. As part of an ongoing rehabilitation project to restore this beautiful mountainside to its indigenous landscape, Maui Off Road Adventures and it's guests will plant Koa trees on each and every tour. The word "Koa" means "warrior" in Hawaiian. The Koa wood has long been used to build canoes and other important goods for the Hawaiian people and is a huge part of their culture. Koa is a treasured and valuable hardwood that represents integrity, and strength, which are foundational qualities of a marriage. Maui Off Road Adventures is proud and honored to be a part of such an important restoration project and allow our guests to enjoy such a magical and beautiful area at such an intimate level.

Equipment: Polaris RZR XP 4 1000 EPS, Four seat vehicles with safety harnesses and roll bar cage.
Capacity: Up to 4 passenger per UTV and 16 guests maximum.

Inclusions: Guide, driver orientation and all necessary equipment.

Restrictions: All drivers must successfully drive a proficiency course. Drivers and riders will be able to switch off at tour stops as long as riders passed driver proficiency course.
Age and Weight Restrictions:
Minimum age to participate is 7 years old. Drivers must be at least 18 years old and have a valid drivers license. Combined weight cannot exceed 800 lbs. per vehicle.

Physical Health Restrictions:
Guest must be in generally good health and not have unhealed injuries. No medical conditions including heart, back or neck problems, recent surgeries, asthma or allergies affecting breathing or pregnant women.

Clothing Restrictions:
This is an off-road adventure thrill ride, guests WILL get dirty and wet! There are no showers to get completely cleaned up. There are sinks and paper towels to wash hands, arms, and face. Wearing closed toe shoes is REQUIRED.

Cancellation Policy:

This tour has a 48 hour cancellation policy. This means that once you're within 48 hours of the start time, the tour is non refundable. If you choose to cancel before this time, the standard 3% cancellation fee will apply. If the vendor needs to cancel your tour because of weather, a mechanical issue or any other reason you will receive a 100% refund of the price you paid.
