Your Certified Guide will take you hiking on a 2-3 mile trail in Volcanoes National Park and exploring in an exclusive and private "golden" lava tube, known for its bright yellow and gold micobial mats on the cave walls.. Illuminating information about the historic events of the recent volcanic activity will be shared incorporating natural and cultural history about the island's formation.
Operates: Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday
Departure Point: Meet 15 minutes prior to tour at Hawaii Forest and Trail Headquarters 73-5593 A Olowalu St. Kailua-Kona 96740 near Costco and across from Home Depot.
Duration: approximately 12 hours round trip
Equipment: Walking sticks, flashlights, day packs, warm wear, helmets and rain ponchos.
Capacity: 14 persons maximum

Menu:
Deli style sandwich - Choice of ham, turkey, tuna or roast beef, lettuce, tomato and swiss cheese on whole wheat kaiser roll.
Veggie sandwich - Lettuce, tomato, carrot, cucumber, zucchini and swiss cheese.

Inclusions: Enjoy breakfast snacks, beverages, lunch, late afternoon pupu (appetizers) on the farm surrounding our exclusive lava tube. National Park entrance fee inclueded.

Handicapped Accessible: This tour is not suitable for handicapped individuals.
Required Certifications: The participant is not required to have any certification or special license in order to participate.
Serves Alcohol: There is not any alcohol available during the activity.
What to Bring: It is recommended that you bring a camera with you. We suggest bringing your camera in a ziplock bag in case you need to protect it from the elements. It is required that everyone wears closed toed shoes on this activity. We recommend that everyone in your group brings sunglasses. We recommend that everyone in your group brings warm clothes.
Restrictions: People who do not have a moderate level of physical fitness will not be permitted on this activity. There is a possibility that you and/or belongings may get wet.

What to Bring & Wear: Comfortable walking shoes, long pants, and a light jacket. CANCELLATION POLICY: 10 guests 72 hours - more than 10 guests within 14 days plus a 50% forfeiture.The 10% charge policy is also in effect as stated at the bottom of this voucher. Driving Directions: From Queen Kaahumanu Hwy (Hwy 19) turn up Hina Lani street. Take the second right onto Kamanu street and then the next right onto Olowalu Street. Our tan-colored building will be on your right.
