Visit 4 different National Park sites, including Puuhonua o Honaunau, Hawaii Volcanoes and Puukohola Heiau. Walk through a massive private lava tube at Kula Kai caverns. Search for sea turtles at Punaluu black sand beach. Explore an exclusive tropical fruit farm and sample seasonal favorites while enjoying a view of Rainbow Falls from a private gazebo. Drive the historic back roads where the big buses can't. Enjoy a Farm- to fork dining experience featuring island -inspired favorites and cultural themed delicacies. This activity is easy to moderate and all ages are welcome. You will stop a couple times throughout the adventure for short hikes of less than one mile each. Except for the lava tube exploration, trails are relatively level. While exploring the lava tube, expect to descend and ascend approximately 30 feet.

Duration: 11-12 hours round trip.
Equipment: Custom touring vans, daypacks, binoculars, water bottles, rain gear and walking sticks.
Capacity: Minimum of 6 to confirm a tour and a maximum of 12 per touring vehicle.

Breakfast
Prepared fresh daily by Kona Joe's - Fruit salad, yogurt, granola, Huevos Revueltos (Chilean style egg), Calzones Rotos (sweet pastry Chilean style).
Lunch
Prepared by HFT in-house. Deli sandwich with choice of ham, turkey, tuna or veggie with lettuce, tomato and swiss cheese on whole wheat kaiser roll.
Sweet potato chips, cookie, sodas and juices.

Inclusions: Walking sticks, day packs, warm wear and rain ponchos. All entry fees to parks and private sites, culturally themed afternoon snack, beverages and a souvenir water bottle.
Exclusions: Guest should bring their own bug repellent.
Activity Departs From: Activities that depart from the Kailua Kona area of the Big Island.
Destination or Viewing Opportunity: Activities that go to the Hilo and Volcano area of the Big Island. This tour views the Volcanoes National Park which is home to Hawaii's only erupting volcanoes.
Foreign Language Translation: There is no foreign language translation available.
Handicapped Accessible: This tour is not suitable for handicapped individuals.
Maximum Capacity: This activity has a maximum capacity seven to fifteen people.
Pride of America Cruise Ship Compatible: To Successfully attend these activities from a cruise ship, a rental vehicle or taxi is required.
Required Certifications: The participant is not required to have any certification or special license in order to participate.
Serves Alcohol: There is not any alcohol available during the activity.
Vehicle Type: Transportation is provided using mini-buses. Transportation is provided using vans.
What to Bring: It is required that everyone wears closed toed shoes on this activity. Everyone must bring identification. We recommend that you bring a light sweater or jacket. We recommend that everyone in your group brings warm clothes.
Restrictions: Children whose age is less than eight years old are not permitted on this activity. People who do not have a moderate level of physical fitness will not be permitted on this activity.
Departure times may vary. Guests should not be physically challenged, unable to hike on uneven or rocky terrain, have respiratory or heart conditions, or be pregnant or in poor health. Wear sturdy closed- toed shoes or boots, long pants and a light jacket. Must be able to do short hikes of one half to one mile. Cancellation policy: 1 to 5 guests 48 hours, 6 or more 48 hours, 10 guests 72 hours, more than 10 guests is 14 days.
Volcanoes National Park Restrictions:
This park is home to an active volcano. For safety reasons, depending on levels of seismic or volcanic activity, tour itinerary-route-destination locations may be altered to adhere to strict U.S.G.S. guidelines. For details on the tour you have booked contact vendor directly, close to tour departure date, as conditions update daily. Any modifications are designed to provide guests a similar tour experience. Active lava viewing cannot be guaranteed.
