This tour usually departs around 5:00pm, arriving at the manta ray site in about 45 minutes. You can snorkel a bit before you watch an amazing sunset from the boat. Snacks, fresh island fruit, soda, juice, and water will be served. Once dark, you will begin your journey with these amazing creatures. Seeing them during the day is great, but seeing them at night while they feed on the plankton that have been drawn to the lights will definitely amaze you. It is common for the rays to come within inches of guests during the tours.

Equipment: Kamanu Elua is a new 31 foot high speed state of the art rigid inflatable raft with shower, shade and forward facing padded seats.

Inclusions: Snorkel equipment, wetsuits, noodles and life vests are provided. Surfboards have lights installed in them to attract the plankton, which the manta ray feed off of.
Restrictions: The minimum age to participate in this activity is 7 years old. Please no pregnant women, people with back or neck problems or those with recent surgeries and serious health problems. It is recommended that you have some swimming and snorkeling skills. There is a ladder that you need to be able to climb up to get into the boat after snorkeling. Departure times are subject to change.This tour has a 48 hour cancellation policy. This means that once you're within 48 hours of the start time, the tour the tour is non refundable. If you choose to cancel before this time, the standard 3% cancellation fee will apply. If the vendor needs to cancel your tour because of weather, a mechanical issue or any other reason you will receive a 100% refund of the price you paid.

Great trip! The raft is fast, and it was a quick trip out-- not too bumpy. They provide wetsuits in addition to fins and snorkels. We saw the other, more expensive tours out there as well, but everyone basically got the same experience-- multiple mantas literally a few inches from your face (we saw up to 4-5 at the same time, and they keep on circling up to the surf board continuously, just about once every minute for as long as you're out there).
