Tour Description:


This tour departing from Kapalua takes in aerial views of Molokai's stunning sea cliffs and four of the Hawaiian Islands while in flight to Oahu. Guests can enjoy a shorter drive and convenient airport parking at Kapalua. The 8KAP tour visits Pearl Harbor where guests enjoy a boat tour of the harbor and view the USS Arizona Memorial, have a guided deck tour on the USS Missouri Battleship, explore the museums of the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center, and have an historical drive through the historic downtown Honolulu by Iolani Palace, Kawaiahao Church, Hawaii government buildings, King Kamehameha the Great Statue and Ali'lolani Hale (seen on Hawaii 5-0 then on to Punchbowl Memorial, before heading back to the airport.

Operates: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday at 7:30am.
Departure Point: Kapalua Airport in West Maui. Check-in at least 30-min prior to departure.
Duration: 8 hours.
Equipment: Mokulele Airlines private plane and an air conditioned deluxe mini coach.
Capacity: 9 passengers per plane. 24 passengers per mini tour bus.

Guests may lunch or snack at any time on their own self guided time at the Visitors Center or other locations with the exception of their strict ticket time for the Arizona Memorial which should be adhered to or could be missed.

Inclusions: Professional tour guide, snack or lunch on your own during self guided time , USS Missouri Battleship admission, transportation and round-trip airfare with Mokulele Airlines. This activity is handicap accessible by walker only. Restrictions may apply.
Exclusions: $5.00 Storage lockers are available at Pearl Harbor Visitor Center. Water and snacks are available for purchase at the USS Arizona Memorial Visitor Center and the USS Missouri gift shop.
Foreign Language Translation: There is no foreign language translation available.
Handicapped Accessible: Participants who use a walker can go on this tour.
Required Certifications: The participant is not required to have any certification or special license in order to participate.
Serves Alcohol: There is not any alcohol available during the activity.
What to Bring: Everyone must bring identification. We recommend that you bring a light sweater or jacket. We recommend that everyone in your group brings sunglasses.
Restrictions: Participants with a total body weight of 350lbs or more are not permitted on this activity.

Departure Airport Restrictions:

Guest must arrive at Departure airport 1 hour prior to flight departure. Guests need to also check in for their return flight upon morning check in. Flight schedules are subject to change (Hawaiian Air flights are usually not direct and must go through Honolulu).


Inter-Island Disclaimer:

Tours that involve inter-island flights are required by Federal law to provide the Transportation Security Administration the full names, date of birth and gender of all passengers. U.S. citizens must present a current government issued pictured ID and international visitors are required to have a valid passport. Incorrect spelling of names, missing middle names or initials and wrong birthdates could result in additional airline change fees and/or denied boarding. No refunds can be made on any portion of the tour due to non-compliance of these federal regulations. Tours packaged with airlines are non-refundable. Partial refunds and reschedules are not permitted.

Pearl Harbor Tour Restrictions:

The US Department of the Interior has instituted a no bags policy. DO NOT BRING large purses, diaper or tote bags, camera cases, video cameras larger than 12 inches, fanny or backpacks (all bags must be stored for a fee of $5.00 per bag). Please bring vital items in a manner that they can be placed in your pockets. Do not leave valuables on the bus.
Government issued Identification (Passports for visitors outside US)
Must be at least 4 years old and 36" tall.
Wear Covered Shoes and Comfortable clothes (Shirts Are Required)
No Swim Suits
FOOD & BEVERAGES are available for purchase at Pearl Harbor Visitor Center and outside of the USS Bowfin Submarine.

Expect delays. EVERYONE is required to get in line upon arrival with their group to pick up tickets from Park Ranger to go on harbor boat tour. Tickets need to be picked up 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO YOUR TOUR TIME if late your space will be given away.

ADA Restrictions:
Collapsible walkers are accommodated and need to be confirmed on a case by case basis. Guests must be able to maneuver transfers in and out of the vehicle and may want others in their party to assist them.

Tour Bus Policies:

Aloha Sunshine Tours is not responsible for valuables left on the bus. Food and beverages are not permitted on the bus, bottled water only. No room for suitcases or large bags.

Very enjoyable and educational tour. Made even better by flying Mokulele Air out of the Kapalua airport. Tour guide was good and full of information. The Waikiki beach was not visited and should be removed from the tour description.

Loved being able to fly out of Kampala!! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and seem very well received at all the tour facilities. The tour states there is a no host lunch. A hot dog or child dog is not my idea of lunch. We wrapped up our tour early, which was fine but were left sitting at the airport for 90 minutes.

The Pearl Harbor tour was very good.  The driver, Dennis, was excellent.
When asked about the 1 hr. at Waikiki he indicated this has not been offered for
quite some time due to the small airport restrictions.  When I got home I
called and sent an email indicating this was false advertising and have not
received any response from them.  We also was at the airport 90 min. before
the scheduled departure.

The ease of using Kapalua Airport was wonderful. Our guide was quite knowledgeable and personable. Only drawback, tour of battleship is not possible for those using a walker, leaving us with option to take bus to very pricey air museum, or take bus back to memorial area to wait on transfer for almost an hour.
