The Up-Country Farm Tour begins in Kahului and starts with the history of Sugar as you travel through the last working sugar plantation. Next head for Ho`okipa Beach Park (The windsurfing capital of the world) for some photos overlooking the magnificent surf before heading Up-Country. Visit Pineapple Country in Hali'imaile the headquarters of The Maui Pineapple Company, now gone has changed Maui history. If not for Maui's Winery in Ulupalakua, the pineapple would be gone. But today they lease over 1200 acres and continue to grow the Maui Gold pineapple which is used in many of the pineapple wines. After traveling through the pineapple camp ascend to the 4,000 ft elevation to Ali`i Kula Lavender Farm. At this farm lavender tea, coffee and scones are provided then enjoy a walking tour through the old proteas (planted on Maui in the 1970's) from South Africa and Australia, lavender, edible gardens, citrus, avocado and olives. It's an amazing experience and a highlight of the tour. Ulupalakua is the next for a wonderful scenic drive and stop at Ulupalakua Ranch Store and Maui's Winery. Guests enjoy a complimentary wine (and cheese) tasting in the Tasting room once the King's Cottage in the 1800's. Learn the history of the 150 year old ranch along the way and be amazed at the feeling of old Maui when you arrive to see the trees planted by captain James Makee in the late 1850's. Walk among the old trees. take photographs and delight in being part of the history of Ulupalakua ranch. You may certainly be ready for your included Lunch created at the Ulupalakua Ranch Store boasting delicious grass fed Maui Cattle Burgers or Taro Burgers for the vegetarian option. Juices and waters are provided along the way and sampling Maui Gold pineapple can also be done at the ranch. After lunch stop at Kula Country Farms a 180 acre farm where they grow pumpkins, strawberries, squash, string beans, cabbage, onions, tuberose, and more proteas. Operates: Daily with pick ups beginning approximately 8:30 am. At the time of placing reservation guests purchasing Transportation for Wailea or Lahaina Harbor will receive a confirmed pick up time from agent for booking date.
Departure Point: Pick up at the Kahului Harbor at 8:30am or meet at Whole Foods Market in Kahului at 8:45am. Pick up is available from the Lahaina Harbor or Wailea for an additional $50.
Duration: 5.5 hours from Whole Foods, add extra travel time for Lahaina or Wailea pickups.
Equipment: Two Star-Trans E350 8 passenger shuttle Buses and a 12 passenger Ford E350 Van.
Capacity: There is a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 28 passengers.

Exclusions: Pick up is available from the Lahaina Harbor or Wailea for an additional $50 per person.
Restrictions: The minimum age to participate in this activity is 7 years old. Guests must be in reasonably good physical condition.

This tour has a 72 hour cancellation policy. This means that once you're within 72 hours of the start time, the tour is non refundable. If you choose to cancel before this time, the standard 3% cancellation fee will apply. If the vendor needs to cancel your tour because of weather, a mechanical issue or any other reason you will receive a 100% refund of the price you paid.
