Driving through the colorful art and surfing town of Hale'iwa, you will arrive at the lush and beautiful Waimea Valley. This enchanting location, also known as the Valley of the Priests and consisting of 1,875 scenic acres, has been a sacred place for more than 700 years of native Hawaiian history. World famous botanical gardens containing over 5,000 species of tropical and subtropical flowering plants, ancient archaeological sites, and one of Oahu's most scenic waterfalls await you.After stopping at the world-renowned surfing location, Banzai Pipeline, we arrive at one of the North Shore's most famous shrimp stands where you will be served your choice of nine different sauted shrimp plates, fresh lemon and steamed rice while your nature guide provides information about Hawaii's aquaculture efforts.Traveling along the scenic and relaxing windward coast of Oahu, we arrive at the exotic macadamia nut farm where you can sample a delicious assortment of tropical grown treats.Throughout your journey of discovery around the island of Oahu, your nature guide will provide a fascinating narration about Hawaii's bird and plant species, geology, history and culture.
Operates: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 7:30am to 6:30pm.
Departure Point: Round-trip transportation to and from your hotel. Allow 25 minutes variance in pick up times.
Duration: 11 hours.
Equipment: Bus or van, day packs and walking staffs by request or as needed.
Capacity: 11 guests.
Menu: MenuYour choice of nine different sauteed shrimp plates with fresh lemon and steamed rice.
Inclusions: Guide, round trip transportation, entry fees to visited locations, and lunch.
Exclusions: Swimming in the waterfall is not allowed. Beverages available for purchase. Plastic water bottles are not allowed.
Restrictions: This activity is not recommended for guests with walking difficulties. The minimum age to participate in this activity is 3 years old. You will be walking over uneven and unpaved surfaces, dirt roads and roots and climbing stairs or mildly steep terrain. The tours are weather permitting. Please wear suitable clothing and walking shoes. Tennis shoes or hiking boots are best. Please note that for your safety and comfort, sandals, slippers, flip flops, high heels and platform shoes are not allowed on this hike. This tour has a 48 hour cancellation policy. This means that once you're within 48 hours of the start time, the tour the tour is non refundable. If you choose to cancel before this time, the standard 3% cancellation fee will apply. If the vendor needs to cancel your tour because of weather, a mechanical issue or any other reason you will receive a 100% refund of the price you paid.
