Nancy Brown-Peterson
This was an excellent tour. Although it was a bit disapoointing to not be able to also visit the Fern Grotto. Our tour guide was knowledgable and provided information on the plants, history and general facts about Kauai (including restaurant recommendations!), all of which was interesting and helpful. The hike was VERY muddy when we went--be sure to grab a walking stick at the beginning of the trail, as this makes it much easier to keep your footing. The waterfall was truely beautiful, and provided an excellent "cool down" after the hike, although very crowded with many other groups there. Lunch was basic but good (and even though lunch was at 10:30, it was welcome after kayaking and hiking to the waterfall). Water bottles are provided, but bringing extra water is a good idea as it is a hot and humid trip. I highly recommend this tour!
