This tour is perfect for competent adventure minded beginners, intermediate and experienced kayakers. Guides will lead you to secluded islands, hidden tide pools, secret coves, turtle grounds and show you marine life and sea birds in the area. Tours are from Kailua Beach Park where you will begin and end your kayaking tour. Paddle and head towards Popo'ia Island, a protected seabird sanctuary. Once landed on the soft sandy beach, you can enjoy a 20-25 minute guided eco-hike. A light snack is offered before moving on to the Moku'lua Islands. Our guides will teach you how to paddle with ease and efficiency and even catch a few waves on the way back. Guides carry a cooler with your freshly made deli lunch complete with fruit, drinks and cookies. Perfect for an island style picnic on one of Hawaii's most prized beaches!

Restrictions: All participants must be able to swim and be physically fit to transport their kayak from the shop to the beach using a dolly then carrying it over to the beach. Minimum of 13 years old to participate. Ages 13-16 must ride with parent or guardian in double kayak. Minors under 16 years old may not participate without a parent or guardian present. 16 years or older can be without parent, but must have an original "Release of Liability" signed by by a parent or guardian. Cancellation Policy - changes may incur $25 re-scheduling fee. This tour has a 48 hour cancellation policy. This means that once you're within 48 hours of the start time, the tour the tour is non refundable. If you choose to cancel before this time, the standard 3% cancellation fee will apply. If the vendor needs to cancel your tour because of weather, a mechanical issue or any other reason you will receive a 100% refund of the price you paid

This is a great tour but very strenuous. We did have beginners on our tour that did fine but they were young and very fit. If you are ready to paddle hard in open water, go for it. The views are worth the effort and even though I was a little nervous, I did love riding the waves in the kayak. Crew was nice and helpful. Also, be prepared to load and unload kayaks. No problem for our group as we had experienced person available; otherwise, might have been an issue. Definitely would recommend this tour for anyone experienced or physically fit.

The tour itself could not have been better. I did however get second degree sunburn up and down both legs because I forgot to put sunscreen on those areas, and couldn't walk for a few days, and had to remain in bed the following day.

Chad as a guide deserves 5 stars. He was very knowledgeable and encouraging on this long kayak. The island stop was great. Only small change would be it felt like we were on the island for a really long time. Wonderful tour and had a great time!
