Simone
Beautiful horseback ride! We were on a really gorgeous property and rode to an even better waterfall. The drive up to the ranch was even beautiful!

Piper Keairnes
The good: The property, landscaping, mountain views, and falls were all very nice. Our trail guide Greg was talkative and informative.

The bad: The "trails" were actually mud roads. They were very wide and extremely muddy and didn't feel at all like trails. The horses pushed up against the brush to stay out of the mud and when they didn't then the mud splashed up on our shoes and clothes, which is fine if you were prepared for this but not if you weren't. Although the trail guide faced backward and spoke loudly, some of the horses were very stubborn and would not close the gap in front of them, which spread the group out. The guide stopped frequently to close the gap, but he could still normally only be heard by the first 4-5 people behind him, and anyone beyond that missed most of the value from him. I was 7th and heard maybe 10% of what he said, all of which was very interesting.

The route itself started and ended with open scenery and beautiful landscaping. The midway point had nice mountain views, but everything in between was fairly boring tropical forest.

The picnic stop at the falls was an hour long. The water was spring fed and cold (mid 60s) so there were only a couple brave swimmers in our group. The hut was surrounded by interesting birds and a male peacock that were bold and ready to eat any food you dropped. The guide actively talked during the picnic, but an hour felt too long, as everyone was ready to go by the end.

Recommendation: Avoid this trail if it has been rained on in the week leading up to your ride, if you mostly want great views, or if you are not a beginner rider. Pick this trail if it is dry and is your first trail ride or you want a leisurely ride through wide open dirt roads and don't mind the optional swim in cold spring water.

Trails were very muddy but understandable due to weather. Horses looked well taken care as well as property. Trail guide Greg was awesome.
