PM Horseback, Waterfall Swim & Picnic Ride - Wailea Horseback Adventure

The Wailea Horseback Adventures shares with you a hidden paradise adventure on horseback above the beautiful Umauma falls on the Big Island of Hawaii. They offer the Waterfall Horseback Ride twice a day. This is the 2.5 hour afternoon ride starting at 12:30pm. Enjoy tropical paradise landscapes while knowledgable and friendly guides share the history of this special location, info about it's culture in Hawaii and the surrounding native plants. Ride through open ranged pastures, take photo-op stops at amazing waterfalls. Then, it will be time to tie up the horses and head down to the waterfall for about 45 minutes for a relaxing break lunch/snack/drink, and swim. Afterwards, once it's all packed up, you'll get back on the horses and in your saddle to continue the adventure and journey on as you head back down to the barn.

On this tour, you'll ride on land once owned by Hawaiian royalty. Your time is spent riding beautiful horses,  taking in amazing views and seeing secluded waterfalls only accessible through booking a tour. There is something magical about time at the waterfall. Enjoy your picnic lunch as you listen to the water falling and relax to the peaceful sound of the stream flowing. Here you also have time to take a dip in the cool refreshing waters of the waterfall.

Knowledgeable and friendly guides take you back to a time past and share with you the history of Wailea. On this beautiful location between Hakalau and Honomu is a hidden paradise with tropical landscape, green pastures and fresh water that comes from Mt. Mauna Kea. Feel the blessings as the wonder of the water flows down to us and leaves us in awe. These waters that creates such beautiful waterfalls have been flowing for hundreds of years . Listen as your local guides share about the history of the sugar plantation and the kalo farms that sustain Hawaii. Witness how the waters of Wailea and Umauma were so important in agriculture in those times, and still are, and how it still flows naturally today.

The paniolo style riding offers a great and unique experience for all levels and skills. Ride through open range as we ride trails with happy cows on same location. Spectacular scenic views from the beautiful majestic mountain to the shimmering Pacific ocean. Explore and learn about the tropical botanical gardens and native plants on the property.

Capacity: 8-10 guests maximum. 2 guest minimum.

Inclusions: All necessary gear & guide. Helmets for children under 13 years of age are provided. 'Demonstrations' provided before leaving stable.
Exclusions: Bring your own Lunch/snacks/Drink. Helmets are provided free of charge IF requested. Water bottle recommended. Bring swimsuit and towel if you plan to swim.
Restrictions:

Age Restrictions: Minimum age to participate is 8 years old. All minors must be must be accompanied by an adult at all times on property.

Weight Restrictions: Maximimum weight is 225lbs/102kg. Exceeding the weight range could cause vendor to disallow participant but charge them. Inform agent if close to maximum weight.

Physical Health Restrictions: Guest must be in generally good health and not have unhealed injuries. No medical conditions including heart, back or neck problems, recent surgeries, asthma or allergies affecting breathing or pregnant women. All medical conditions should be declared at time of reservation. All participants must sign a waiver.

Wear/Bring: Long Pants, Closed toed shoes, light sweater. Water bottle, wear swim suit under your clothes if you plan to swim and bring towel.

Helmets are provided free of charge IF requested. Children under 13 years of age are required to wear a helmet.

Cancellation Policy:
48 hours. This means that once you're within 48 hours of the start time, the tour is non refundable. If you choose to cancel before this time, the standard 3% cancellation fee will apply. If the vendor needs to cancel your tour because of weather, a mechanical issue or any other reason you will receive a 100% refund of the price you paid.

Pride of America Cruise Ship: For Pride of America Cruise Ship passengers Tour company does not provide pick up. This tour can be reached via private transportation choices, taxi or car rental. Tour can be reserved Tuesday of your cruise ship schedule while docked in Hilo. Location is approximately an hours drive from the dock. Please ask agent if you have questions regarding transportation and tour/departure location. Book well in advance to assure availability.
