During the winter months book the Whale Watch Sail with North Shore Catamaran Charters. The North Shore of Oahu boasts many whale sightings compared to other Oahu shoreline locations. Annually there can be over 700 sightings. There have even been two double breaches in the Haleiwa Harbor Channel documented. These giant mammals come to the warm waters of Hawai'i for mating and calving, migrating from Alaska and the Bering Sea. A cruise along Oahu's North Shore is almost like a trip back in time. Don't forget your camera, because you'll want to capture the antics of the 45 ton humpbacks in action. For guests needing assistance with a walker please inform agent at time of reservation so that you can be properly accommodated.

Our tour was awesome! The boat was immaculate. The captain and his mate kept us all happy and safe. We lucked out as the whales gave us our own Natural Geographic show. I'd book another tour in a heartbeat.

My daughter and I wanted to experience a whale watching sail while visiting the Island and elected a smaller charter over a larger vessel, and we are glad that we did. Our sail with North Shore Catamaran totaled 10 people, 8 patrons and two crew, and it was a lot of fun. With such a small group, the interaction among fellow patrons and crew was much more personal. The best part about the charter was that we did see whales and they approached close to our vessel several times allowing for great photo opportunities. Those that were quick enough with their cameras we able to snap a couple of nice breaches. Would definitely charter with North Shore Catamaran again.

The tour was amazing. We lucked out and saw a huge pod of whales with the accompanying dolphins along side (with lots of flips!). The crew was great, catamaran is the way to go and most importantly, going off the north shore is the best! Thanks for the great time.
