Ultimate Rafting

Ultimate Rafting has provided the quintessential ocean rafting experience between the islands of Maui and Lanai since 1982. Having been chosen by the filming crews of both National Geographic and BBC Wildlife to film various documentaries, the 30' rigid aluminum hulled inflatables used by Ultimate Rafting carry 18 passengers, are 60% shaded, are fitted with special marine pontoons to provide stability in high seas and are equipped with enormous 400 HP engines which are capable of propelling these vessels to speeds of 50 MPH. The captains and crew are kept up to date with the most recent whale and marine research and delight in sharing their knowledge with you in this intimate small boat setting. Photography is often the focus of those who choose to ride along with them and they pay constant attention, not only to finding and viewing the marine life, but making sure that they place their vessels in the best positions locations to assure the best photographs.
