Seafire Charters/The Dive Shop

A quick and easy way to visit the island of Molokini and see the turtles of the coastline of Makena is to leave from the Kihei boat ramp on the 39' aluminum hulled S.A.F.E boat (Secured Around Flotation Equipment). The Sea Fire takes out small groups of as small as six persons and as large as twenty-one. This assures a personalized experience and lots of interaction with the captain and those on board. Molokini will be the first snorkel destination and the second will be determined by the weather and sea conditions of the day but will usually be to some place in Makena, Five Graves or even La Perouse Bay. This tour will be three hours in length. The Sea Fire also has an abbreviated tour that only goes to Molokini and runs for just two hours.

Molokini Island Crater is actually the tip of an extinct volcano, barely peeking above the ocean surface between Maui and Kahoolawe. Visibility is often 150 feet, tropical fish are everywhere, and its sheer cliffs and rugged beauty are often the focus of professional photographers.
