Kamanu Charters offers snorkeling trips, sailing, whale watching, night manta ray tours and private charters on their 36' Custom Kurt Hughes design Sailing Catamaran , from the Honokohau Marina in Kailua Kona. Kamanu Charters usually sales north towards Pawai Bay where fish are prevalent and you will see hundreds in addition to the likely arrival of a Spotted Manta Ray, Green Sea Turtle and Bottlenose or Spinner Dolphins. Pawai Bay is one of the most remote bays along the Kona coast and is not easy to access with anything but a boat. Kamanu Charters has been offering their trips since 1974 making it one of the longest running boat tour operations on the big island. One of the things they have learned is that a small group is more intimate, so they limit the number of passengers to only twenty four.
