Hawaii Ocean Project

Dedicated to conservation, education, research and eco-touring, the Hawaii Ocean Project operates in conjunction with, and is considered the conservation division of, the Lahaina Cruise Company. The Hawaii Ocean Project operates a series of touring options on Maui that all depart from the protected roadstead area at Lahaina Harbor on Maui's West Side. Having operated for over 30 years these tours are conducted with trained naturalists on board on some of the largest and most comfortable passenger vessels on the island. Tour options include the only ferry service to Molokai with a couple of round trips daily including activity packages on the island, dinner cruises, sunset cruises, snorkel tours to Lanai and whale watching in season. A portion of funds collected from the touring operations are used to support direct and legitimate research endeavors of the Cascadia Research Collective, the Marine Mammal Research Consultants and several other environmentally conscious research organizations.
