For many years one of the most exciting and adventurous snorkel tours available on Maui has been with Blue Water Rafting. The rafts used on these tours are the very fast and maneuverable Rigid Hull Inflatable boats which are similar to the original Zodiac style rafts. Carrying small groups of people these tours visit Molokini and also brave the remote southern Kanaio region of Maui which is composed of a rocky shoreline that was created two-hundred and fifty years ago by the last major volcanic eruption on the island. Snorkelers are generally treated to pristine and clear snorkeling conditions with abundant sea life including turtles, eels and of course the dolphins which are known to frequent this area. Whale watching is also a popular option for Blue Water Rafting during the winter whale season.
