Big Island Discovery

If you enjoy the culture of the 'old west', you'll want to enjoy a slice of the 'old west', Hawaiian style. Located in the Big Island's Kohala Mountains at the 3200' level is the magnificent verdant pasturelands and gentle rolling hills of the 8500 acre Kahua Ranch. Each Wednesday the ranch holds a giant feast at its mountain retreat lodge with surrounding corals and work areas. This true working cattle ranch by day is transformed on this evening into a Hawaiian style cowboy (Paniolo) hootenanny and country feast. Steak and chicken dinners with all the fixings are served with healthy pints of Big Island brewed ale and choice of wines. Country music abounds the entire evening and fun events like lassoing and branding are included in the festivities. This is an event that is fantastic fun for the whole family.
