Enjoy a fabulous Oahu Dinner Cruise
Your Oahu Dinner Cruise will add a slice of fun and romance to your Oahu vacation. There are a lot of exciting tours you can do on the ocean but a Waikiki dinner cruise has a special appeal. You don't need to be active on a dinner cruise, simply enjoying the moment is a perfect stress reliever for your well deserved vacation. These are designed for relaxation and the calm oceans surrounding the lee of the island generally make for a very peaceful and serene voyage. Most of these Oahu dinner cruises can be booked at discount pricing.
Where does your Oahu Sunset Dinner Cruise depart from?
The leeward side of the island off Waikiki and the
coastline off Ko O'lina are where you will find the dinner cruises. The coastal area off Waikiki and Honolulu has very calm waters so it is ideal for the perfect dinner cruise. Because you will probably have your accommodations in either Waikiki or Honolulu this also makes it very convenient.
Dinner Cruise Boat Sizes?
- Oahu is the only island in Hawaii that will offer dinner cruises on some really big boats. These 'party boats' can really be fun. Typically you might be on board with a variety of guests from all over the country and for that matter, the world. You never know who you might meet. Some of the boats will have various levels and each level will have a different dinner offerings and different music and show as well. You can go from the basics all the way to 5 Star seating with fine jazz live music and limo service from your hotel.
- You can also choose a moderately sized sailboat with only your private group on board. Some choices are available on Friday nights when Waikiki's famous fireworks are on display.
Pick-up for your Oahu
sunset dinner cruise will generally be provided from the major Waikiki hotels.

Tom's Tips - Oahu Dinner Cruises
So just so we all get the big picture, Honolulu/Waikiki is a big city. Everything that goes on there is on a grander scale than found on any of the outer islands. There are bigger buildings, bigger highways and lots more people. Given that, it is not too surprising that they would also have bigger dinner cruise boats there as well. One of these boats, which is also one of the most popular dinner cruise boats on the island, is the Star of Honolulu and it is 4 decks high and will hold as many as 1500 people. It might seem like too many people for you at first but in actuality it really isn't. They provide a different type of service on each of the floors of the boat with different menus and different entertainment. When you realize it is divided up that way you understand that it is not as packed as you may have originally thought. Keep in mind that we also have smaller dinner cruise boats on the island as well that have capacities of 400 pax, 80, 49 and as few as 6 passengers. The 6 pax boats by the way can also just take the two of you for your own private romantic dinner. So we do have the full spectrum of sizes of boats for you to enjoy.

Oahu is the land of many people. We have a higher population on Oahu than we do on any of the other Hawaiian Islands.
So high in fact that there are more people on Oahu than all of the other islands combined. We've got this little island in the middle of the Pacific with lots and lots of people on it. So a lot of the activities that we have and that we offer on Oahu will take larger groups of people. This is certainly true of dinner cruises, dinner cruise boats that we have.
A number of really big boats that provide their own special kind of fun as a result of being so large and going out with so many people. We have a boat for instance that has 1,500 people that it takes out with four decks. You start off on the lower deck with the buffet and the less expensive dinner cruises and work your way up through gradations. At the very top you're at the five star dinner cruise with multiple courses and really beautiful and so on. So the different prices going on your way up, but these are a lot of fun.
Earlier in the week we had a gal call, she was interested in taking out her parents who were having an anniversary, a special anniversary, and she wanted the best. So we went right for the five star dinner cruise right up on top and made arrangements to get special seating right on the window. So these are really elegant and really fantastic, even for Hawaii this is different. You've got even a little bit of a dress code, not anything big. Guys have to wear slacks and a collared shirt but you don't get that often in Hawaii. These can be upscale as well.
We've got these wonderful big boats that you can enjoy but we also have more moderate sized so don't feel like you have to do those. We've got boats, catamarans that'll maybe take 80 passengers, that size. And even smaller than that if you want something a little bit more private, something like maybe 20 people. So we've got the gamut. These are always fun, full dinner and usually open bar or a number of drinks anyway.
Sunset time is just gorgeous. You don't want to miss that on any of your days here and just being out on the ocean. Being able to look back on Waikiki and the mountains and the glow of the clouds hanging over the island is just very, very special, kind of winding down time. Really, really, really nice, so this is something that you should probably consider doing while you're here. You're going to be doing dinners every night anyway. Why not just take advantage and do one of those dinners out on the ocean and have that very, very special experience.
