The Old Lahaina Luau Certainly this is the most famous Maui luau and this is the one luau in Maui you will absolutely need to make reservations for very early. It is regularly booked up a month or two in advance. The show will focus on the culture of Hawaii without including other cultures from the South Pacific. The chants, the dancing, the music and the wardrobe are all very traditional in nature and this is the most authentic of your luau choices. Seating is assigned based upon the time that you book with the earlier bookings seated closer to the stage. I was told by my travel agent who specializes in Hawaii that this was the best Luau bar none so we decided to celebrate our anniversary at Old Lahaina and it didn't disappoint. The grounds are beautiful and the entertainment was superb! And OMG the FOOD...definitely go hungry! The personal attention made us feel so special. The orchid lei that they placed on each of us was icing on the cake! I think I tried everything, even the poi (not a fan) because when in Maui...celebrate life! Oh and the entertainment was phenomenal!!Feast at Lele The Feast offers one of the smallest and most intimate venues for a Maui luau show. This luau is very different. No matter the size of your group, you will be seated at your own private table. The food is unique also in that it is brought to you in courses based upon the particular culture that is performing on stage. They provide dancing and chanting from all the major South Pacific cultures and you will find it very interesting to taste all the options. Table service is a specialty here and you will have your own servers who will bring you your food and cocktails. Cocktails are upscale as well and blended drinks like 'lava flows' or 'pina colada' are yours for the asking. The entertainment, including fire dancing is all available during the sunset and evening hours with beautiful views of the ocean.

We Absolutely loved this Maui luau! The food was outstanding and the show was awesome. We have been to many luaus and this one was the best. I liked the idea of a sit down dinner much better. We had six in our party and we all loved it.
Kaanapali Maui Luau options
Hyatt Regency Luau Located at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Kaanapali this luau is held in its own specially designed area which is perfect for such a show. You can choose to have preferred seating which assures a close table to the stage or your can have regular seating which will provide 'first come, first seated' table options. There is a buffet line offering loads of both traditional Hawaiian foods and more normal American fare. All of the South Sea cultures are represented and you are encouraged to go back to the bar for additional drinks if you so desire.

Royal Lahaina Luau Here you will have a full Polynesian review of all the South Pacific island cultures along with all the traditional Hawaiian foods in a giant all you can eat buffet. A standard open bar is included with premium options available for purchase as well. You can also choose between regular seating and premium, which will guarantee seating right up front. The Royal Lahaina has always offered the fire dancing and that part of the show in itself is a major highlight of their presentation but the entire show is fabulous.

Great luau! The entertainment was amazing and the food was wonderful! All you can drink complimentary cocktails were very good. Well worth the price for this luau. I would definitely recommend making this luau a part of everyone's Maui vacation.
Sheraton Maui Luau The location for this luau is fabulous. The Sheraton, along with the Kaanapali Beach Resort next door were the very first hotels to be built on Kaanapali Beach and the Sheraton ended up in the 'cat bird seat' constructing its low impact architecture right on the famous Black Rock promontory lava flow. Each evening the torch lighting ceremony happens at sunset where cliff divers light the torches way out on the cliffs, blow the conch shell and then dive into the water. The views from the luau grounds are completely unobstructed as you observe the colorful sunsets and amazing ocean coastline. Included is an all you can eat Hawaiian buffet with drinks and a full Polynesian show. Fire dancing is also included.

We had five couples attend this Maui luau and of those 3 people had never been to a luau, the rest had been to one or more. The comments of everyone was this event was fantastic, nice setting, very friendly, excellent meal and an entertaining diverse show. Other luaus attended in past years were good, this one was great, we recommend to anyone.
Westin Wailele Luau The Westin is of course a premium hotel and this is reflected in the luau they provide. This is a smaller and a bit more intimate luau than can be found in Kaanapali Beach and it is designed so you can view the entertainment with the sunset colors providing a backdrop for the stage. Premium seats can be purchased as well as regular but everyone will be able to enjoy the entertainment of the Polynesian review of island cultures. One of the strong elements of this luau in Maui is the multiple fire dances heading up the finale. All the traditional Hawaiian fare will be provided and you will have many cocktail options.

Wailea Luaus
Grand Luau at Hanua'ula When the Grand Wailea Hotel opened some years back it was lauded to be one of the most beautiful hotels on Maui. It became that and much more. The special luau grounds that have been created on the property make for a very special experience. They provide a fantastic Hawaiian buffet and cocktails as well. This is a luau fit for the entire family as prior to the luau itself there are special Hawaiian games to play and the making of crafts such as leis and the applying of tattoos. You may even get to practice hula dancing. The traditional and exotic dances and cultures from the South Pacific will be on display during the entertainment portion and you will be treated to the fire dancer who has won the world competition in this form of Hawaiian dance for three years in a row.

Te Au Moana - Wailea Marriott. Located right on the lapping shores of Wailea with beautiful views of Lanai and Kahoolawe are yours to enjoy when you attend this performance. The backdrop of the sunset, ocean and islands will try to distract you from the beauty of the performances found here but you will find that they dovetail together perfectly. This truly Hawaiian experience will include all of the traditional Hawaiian fare at the buffet line and of course drinks will be provided as well. The famous Hawaiian production company 'Tahati Productions' will draw upon their, over 40 years of experience to provide the best entertainment available. You can choose between regular and premium seating.

This was our third Luau experience. Our first time at Te au Moana - Wailea Marriott. THIS IS THE BEST LUAU we have ever had the pleasure of attending. Our family (party of 6) had the best time EVER ! The food was exceptional (especially the pork - so tender), the weather was phenomenal, our seating was perfect (we were concerned at first that because we were so close to the front that the loud speakers would overwhelm us, but it was not to be). The stage show flowed with a presentation of the history of this beautiful island, to exceptional dancing, music and singing. The highlight of the night was the fire dancer, he captivated the attention of everyone. All in all, what an awesome show and a nice experience. Kudos to the professionalism of all. If anyone is going to spend the money on a Luau - this is the place!
Pride of America Cruise Ship:
Luaus on Maui will not pick up at the cruise boat pier but these shows can be reached via a Rent-A-Car that can be arranged through Tom Barefoot's Tours and you can be picked up by the Rent-A-Car shuttles right at the cruise ship dock. The majority of these are available on the Sunday evening of your Maui cruise itinerary.
