Maui Dinner Cruise. Maui Sunset Cruise.

The Maui Dinner Cruise, often called the Maui Sunset Cruise, is a staple among activities on the island. Very few places in the world have the special ambiance of Maui as viewed from the waters off the coast. Low key and relaxing, your Maui Sunset Cruise can temper your action packed daily activity schedule with some much needed leisure time. Maui dinner cruise boats vary in size and shape, departure points, duration time, menu and drink options. We offer many at discounted pricing.

  • Your Maui Sunset Cruise offers you Romance, serenity, relaxation and just the perfect end to your Maui day.

When you think back years from now about the time you spent on Maui, the moments on your Maui sunset cruise may be the ones you remember most fondly. Floating gently between the islands of Molokai, Maui, Lanai and Kahoolawe, clouds painted with every sunset color, the ocean reflecting the sun's last moments, the gentle lapping of waves and the soothing rhythm of the sea, a glass of wine in hand, a companion at your side on a romantic Maui sunset cruise ---- ah, it's a fine life! Full Dinner and Open Bar, live entertainment and the best show of all: the islands, the sea, the mountain peaks, clouds, sun, stars, and - as often as heavenly possible - the moon.
This Maui dinner cruise section of our site is particularly popular because a Maui sunset cruise can be intimate and romantic but is also is great for large families and groups of friends!

This is a wonderful way to gather family and friends too, sharing a convivial evening of fun with a fine dinner, generous libations and good music. Some dinner cruise vessels also include dancing. And there's nothing quite like returning to the port of Lahaina, Kaanapali Beach or Maalaea with the lights from the shoreline reflected in the waves, as you end a special evening drenched in starlight. There's no better way to celebrate an anniversary, have a mini reunion or bid 'aloha' to island friends than on a fabulous Maui Dinner Cruise.

Where will your Dinner Cruise depart from? The three most likely departure points will be:

    • Maalaea Harbor in central Maui. From here you have a great view of the mountain of Haleakala behind you as the sun sets over the West Maui Mountains.
    • Lahaina Harbor is a classic departure point for a dinner cruise. Lahaina is the most protected harbor on the island and is a beautiful location. From the time you just leave the harbor you will be surrounded by all the islands in Maui County: Molokai, Kahoolawe, Lanai and of course Maui.
    • Kaanapali Beach requires a boarding off the sand onto your vessel so it may a bit more informal as as you will be boarding through ankle deep waters.

    Pride of America Cruise Ship:

A Maui Sunset Dinner Cruise will not pick up at the cruise ship but may be reached via Rental Car on the Sunday afternoon of your Maui visit. We can arrange for you to be picked up at the ship by your Rental Car on the day of your choice. View the 'restrictions' area after you click on each of the Dinner Cruise companies listed below for specifics regarding the cruise ship itinerary.

  • Tom's Tips - Maui Dinner Cruises

Dinner Cruises on Maui have always been very popular but there are certain considerations you should take into account to make certain you are getting the very best experience.

Generally speaking I think it could be said that any of the dinner cruises you will find listed on our site are going to prove to be a fun experience but I personally believe that your departure point is an important point to consider. For me, I believe that the West Maui departures at either Lahaina or Kaanapali provide the best conditions and views. This is of course a subjective decision but my reasons are born upon years of traveling on dinner cruises that depart from the West Side and also out of Maalaea Harbor in Central Maui... read more.

So many people want to go out on a dinner cruise such as this, where they're on the island of Maui and with good reason.

These are fun and they are romantic.

Look at it this way, they're dinners. You're going to be going out to a dinner to a restaurant probably. During the course of the week that you're here or however long you're here. You'll be spending somewhere going out to dinner. Why not do it in a situation where you're on the water. Most people go out to dinner when they're at home on the Mainland, or wherever and enjoy the experience of dining out. But it's rare that people actually have the possibility of being on the water wherever they are to enjoy their dinner. Here on Maui, it is readily available to you and it is so beautiful outside, so gorgeous and so many locations that we can take you to that's no wonder that it is so popular.

What does a dinner cruise in the tail? Essentially, it's cocktails when you get on board probably, Pupus or Hawaiian hors d'oeuvre, of course, dinner and then you've got some form of entertainment possibly dancing, a band, live music and then just the beautiful views that you find yourself surrounded in.

There are 3 areas on the island that you could go on a dinner cruise from different ports. Lahaina, and Kaanapali on the west side, and then Maalaea, kind of in the center of the island. Lahaina and Kaanapali are excellent choices in the sense that you're actually floating out there between a giant cluster of islands. You're looking back on Maui at Sunset time, it's actually gorgeous. All the clouds that you see on the mountains, they light up with the different colors of the rainbow, and then you're looking out in the distance to your right you'll see Molokai. Straight ahead you'll see where the sun is setting, you'll be seeing Lanai and then Kaho'olawe off to the left.

These are going to be permanent fixtures from your dinner cruise on those locations. From Maalaea, you're not going to be able to see Molokai and Lanai very well. Probably get a little bit of looking at Kaho'olawe but you will have excellent views of Haleakala. That's is also very beautiful at Sunset.

These are the three locations that you can go from the boats that we have are numerous. Some are larger, some are smaller, some people really gravitate to the large ones they feel more comfortable on them. I don't think we have that are actually ridiculously small, but some are a little bit more private. You can have a little bit more of a private atmosphere on some of them. The prices vary, the menus vary and the drinks and that sort of thing vary, some include the drinks, some you'll only get a couple and you have to purchase additional ones. All the different dinner cruise venues vary somewhat on how they arrange their dinners. Maybe their two hours or more, they even leave the different areas but the one thing that they do all have, they are beautiful and they are romantic.

Hawaii is not the only place in the world that you will find dinner cruises but the Hawaii dinner cruise is a category of activity that is found on all the major Hawaiian Islands.
