Kauai Excursions

Kauai Excursions and Kauai Sightseeing Tours rank among the most sought after activities on the 'Garden Isle'. Considered by many to be the most beautiful island in all of Hawaii, Kauai excursions are a 'hot ticket' because everyone wants to spend a couple of days visiting the various parts of the island. Check out the select Kauai sightseeing tours we have arranged for you, with many at discounted pricing.

There are many reasons people feel that Kauai is the most beautiful island in the world, and these dovetail with the fact that Kauai excursions are one of the most important activity categories on the island. Kauai is the oldest of the main Hawaiian Islands and has been extinct for about 5 million years. This fact of its antiquity combined with the fact that in most years the island of Kauai is actually the 'wettest spot on Earth' have allowed mother nature, through its natural erosion process, to carve and shape the island into the most glorious geological architecture. Many of the Kauai sightseeing tours offered are available at discount pricing.

Kauai Sightseeing, it has it all:

  • Arguably the most beautiful golden sand beaches in all of Hawaii
  • The eleven mile long NaPali Coastline which descends from its amazing escarpment of cliffs from 3000' in the clouds above directly to the sea below.
  • The spectacular Waimea Canyon which is also referred to as the 'Grand Canyon of the Pacific'.
  • Gently flowing rivers that meander their way to the eastern coasts of the island which provide the most idyllic of settings
  • Pastoral settings and ranch lands that sweep from the mountains to the sea
  • Triple canopy jungles that are some of the densest on the planet

Some of the most popular Kauai sightseeing tours offered on the island are:

  • Wailua River Cruise and Fern Grotto. This is a tour that visits the old historic town of Lihue and then cruises up the Wailua River on a river boat in route to the exotic Fern Grotto.
  • The Waimea Canyon Tour. This tour takes you into the famous Waimea Canyon which is often referred to as the 'Grand Canyon of the Pacific'.
  • Hanalei Valley Tour. The Hanalei Valley on Kauai's North Shore is one of the most beautiful, tranquil, exotic, and lovely locations to be seen in all Kauai.
  • Waimea Canyon and Fern Grotto Tour. This popular tour combines two of the most beloved Kauai sightseeing tour locations. .

Pride of America Cruise Ship:

Sightseeing Tours will often pick up directly at the cruise boat pier. Many of these tour excursions are available on the Thursday or Friday of your Kauai cruise itinerary.

There is no way you could possibly visit Kauai and not want to venture out and see the scenery of this beautiful island. In fact many would suggest that this is the very most beautiful Hawaiian Island of all. If you don't have a rental car, of if you prefer to be taken to some amazing locations by a professional tour guide, we have many sightseeing opportunities available for you. Tours that will take you to see the Waimea Canyon, Hanalei the Wailua River and many more. One of the great things about Kauai however is that there are so many different tours that are not 'traditional' in nature, and in fact are 'one off's' in the sense that these types of tours are not found on other islands.

One very different option is to take one of the tours offered by a company called Kauai Photo Tours. They will offer up an opportunity to not only visit some of the most beautiful sights but also take home some of these memories in the form of photographs that you yourself will take. They offer all sorts of camera equipment and lenses for you but the beauty of these tours is that you really don't need any of that. You can just bring your smart phone camera. As you know these cameras made today are so amazing that the photos taken with them can rival even those taken by the most expensive equipment and by the best photographers. The whole point of these tours is to get you off into perhaps 9 or 12 special photo locations that you likely would not have found yourself and take some really intimate photos of special waterfalls, forests, coastal scenes or whatever. These people are specialists and they will be able to give you valuable tips on how best to frame your shots and make the best use of available light and many other factors. This is not a camera clinic, it is designed to simply be a tour that will take you to unbelievably beautiful spots for a few minutes and give you a chance to take some wonderful photographs and then your off to a new area. This is a wonderful way to visit the island... read more.

The island of Kauai is really rich with sightseeing tours, lots to see, absolutely a beautiful, beautiful island.

Now not to say that you can't go see some of this stuff on your own. For sure you can. You have a Rental Car, you can go out and you can go to the Waimea Valley. You can drive up to Hanalei and those areas and really enjoy yourself. But there are absolutely spectacular things that'll happen on some of the sightseeing tours that you just wouldn't be able to do on your own.

First of all, just the regular tours that'll go out that will go the Waimea Valley, the Grand Canyon of the Pacific and see that. Go to the North Shore areas and the big surf in the Hanalei area and all that up there. They're going to be telling you about a lot of stuff that you would not be able to know or understand or appreciate on your own. So just on that level it's great to go on a sightseeing tour on Kauai.

But there's some other types of things that can happen there, that do happen there that really are beyond your experience otherwise. There are tours that take you up into the Wailua River, okay? So it's a sightseeing tour that'll take you to a boat ride that'll then take you on a short excursion up the river. Absolutely beautiful. Wailua River is one of the most amazing rivers you can imagine.

There are photo tours that we have, tours that will take you out to beautiful, beautiful places in Kauai, and then teach you how to use your camera to get the very best shots that you can get. This is something obviously it's going to stay with you over and above your tour to Kauai. Not only will you come back with unbelievable photos but you'll be able to use this knowledge the next place you visit, but that's an example.

We have one of the most unusual of all tours you could imagine, is called the Movie Tour. What this is, really a unique idea, you go out in a van that is a little big larger. One of the, maybe they carry 15 people or something like that, the kind that you can stand up in, seated on both sides, and then the very front above where the driver sits, there's a television monitor there. Because Hawaii or Kauai has been such the place over the course of years that Hollywood has made so many movies there, that they play scenes from old movies that you're familiar with, tons of them. They'll stop at a particular scene, they'll capture it on the screen and then they'll drive up to a place where they actually show you where that is. It's all over the place, all over Kauai. It is actually one of the more popular tours that we have. Such a unique and interesting idea that people are really, really interested to do it.

We have places, tours that'll take you up behind closed gates, up into the forest and jungle, then take you up roadways up to a point where you can't even go any further and then take you on maybe a little bit of a walk up a road. Not really a hike I would say but maybe an additional mile or so, really getting into the back woods, if you will, back forest of Kauai and really having a chance to appreciate it.

So sightseeing is a big thing on Kaua. One of the most beautiful islands you will ever see and we have lots of tours that you will really, really appreciate.
