Maui Mountain Cruisers - Equipment
The equipment that we used with Maui Mountain Cruisers was a bit different then what we found on the other companies. They provided us with coffee and a continental breakfast before we left the base yard. Then once we reached the top we ran into some precipitation, so they provided us with some foul weather gear and gloves which helped us stay warm throughout the entire ordeal. These inclusions were pretty standard, and are things that can be expected on almost all of our companies. The main difference that was offered with the Maui Mountain Cruisers excursion was the type of bikes that were used. In the trailer the guides had a many sizes and styles of bikes. The one we chose was what they referred to as a “Chopper” bicycle. The bike had an extended triple clamp double crown rigid fork, a laid back head and seat angle, and a big fat extra wide rear tire. This bike has the look of a classic “easy rider” kind of motorcycle. This bike made us feel like we were part of a biker gang that was taking up the whole lane of traffic to leisurely enjoy our cruise down the hill. And enjoy it we did!
