Oahu Nature Tours - If you're looking for a tour that offers more than just sightseeing but also includes hiking in nature and information about the animals, plants and birds found on the island of Oahu, then Oahu Nature Tours is ideal for you. This tour was founded in 1995 by Michael Walther who completed his studies in Anthropology and Environmental Studies and has written a number of scientific studies about Hawaii wildlife including a book entitled “Images of Natural Hawaii: A Pictorial Guide to Hawaii’s Native Forest Birds and Plants”. Michael is seriously concerned about endangered Hawaii species and is closely associated with the Hawaiian Audubon Society, the Conservation Council of Hawaii, the Nature Conservancy and the Hawaii Visitors bureau. Michael offers a series of short and affordable tours, most of which can be taken in a half-a-day, but our favorite to recommend is the “Special Adventure Pass” which allows you to take up to three separate tours while on your visit to Oahu.
