North Shore Shark Adventures
Unique is a pretty good word to use when discussing the shark tours that are available on Oahu's North Shore. The original shark touring company on this coastline was the North Shore Shark Adventures and they still operate these exciting and unique tours off this coastline to this day. If you are anything like me you will be curious, excited and terrified with the notion of participating in this tour but after having completed it I can say that is was one of the most worthwhile tours I have ever taken in Hawaii. Nothing beats the thrill of getting so close to fish this large and in such large quantities. Many of the sharks I saw were in excess of fifteen feet long and we were being circled by a minimum of twenty of them.…
| Description: Travel offshore 3 to 4 miles. Once you get to the area, the shark cage is placed in the water. The cage floats on the surface it measures 7" x 5" x 9" high and made of plexi glass. It can hold 2 people very comfortably, however up to 4 people have been in it at a time, depending on the weather and ocean conditions. Bring an underwater camera to get some of the best photographs of Hawaiian Sharks possible anywhere. The size, of the sharks, range from 5 to 15 feet. These sharks will be only inches away from the cage. You may stay up to 30 minutes in the cage to enjoy the spectacular view.*
Departure Point: Departs from Haleiwa Boat Harbor, directions from Waikiki: Follow the H-1 to the H-2, through Wahiawa to Haleiwa.
