North Shore Shark Adventures
Perhaps snorkeling is the wrong term to use when discussing the adventures to be had on the North Shore Shark Adventures. In all actuality you do have a mask and a snorkel but under general snorkeling conditions you will have the luxury of swimming unencumbered in the open ocean. In the case of the North Shore Shark Adventures you will don your mask and snorkel but remain behind the safety of a steel cage which is lowered behind the boat that takes you out to the shark location about three miles off the coast. This will prove to be one of the very most thrilling adventures you will have ever taken. Please keep in mind that these trips leave from the little boat harbor of Haleiwa which is about an hour's drive from Waikiki. Transportation can be provided for an additional fee upon request.…
| Description: Travel offshore 3 to 4 miles. Once you get to the area, the shark cage is placed in the water. The cage floats on the surface it measures 7" x 5" x 9" high and made of plexi glass. It can hold 2 people very comfortably, however up to 4 people have been in it at a time, depending on the weather and ocean conditions. Bring an underwater camera to get some of the best photographs of Hawaiian Sharks possible anywhere. The size, of the sharks, range from 5 to 15 feet. These sharks will be only inches away from the cage. You may stay up to 30 minutes in the cage to enjoy the spectacular view.*
