Description: This 30 minute tour begins with a beautiful
view of placid Keehi Lagoon and continues over historic Honolulu Harbor.
Here you will see Aloha Tower, once the tallest structure on the island,
as well as cruise ships from distant ports. Next is downtown Honolulu, featuring
the only royal palace in the country. Above the city stands Punchbowl, the
National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. The tour continues above Ala Moana
Beach Park, Magic Island the Ala Wai Yacht Harbor and Waikiki Beach. Beyond,
you'll see Diamond Head Crater from a dramatic perspective, the "Gold
Coast" where millionaires make their homes and spectacular Hanauma Bay.
Rounding the east end of the island, you'll see rugged coastline, inviting
Sandy Beach and Makapu'u Point and Lighthouse. Your aerial tour continues
over Sea Life Park, the estate where TV's Magnum PI was filmed and miles
of white sand beach. You'll be treated to a stunning view of Mount Olomana
and later the Nuumanu Pali where King Kamehamehas' warriors won a decisive
battle to unite the islands. Pilots narrate in English or Japanese.*

Depending on weather conditions the pilot will select the most suitable route to show you all the "must see" attractions and scenic vistas, from serene Keehi Lagoon and historic Honolulu Harbor to Aloha Tower, Ala Moana Beach Park, Magic Island and world famous Waikiki Beach. Makani Kai Helicopters - Makani Kai Helicopters has flown more passengers on Oahu than any other helicopter service and after tens of thousands of flights Makani Kai still has an unblemished safety record. The main focus is on safety and is one of the few helicopter companies in the state to participate in TOPS (Tour Operators Program of Safety) which mandates a more rigorous flight and safety standards than are even required by the FAA. All of the pilots at Makani Kai Helicopters were born and raised in Hawaii and as a result have an extraordinary understanding of the unique weather patterns that display themselves here. Foremost among the local born and raised pilots is Richard Schuman the owner. The only times he’s ever been away from the islands was when he spent his college years in Michigan and again when he served his time in the military. Richard obviously knows a good thing when he sees it. He lives on Oahu with his wife Diane and his three beautiful daughters.
