Coast of Oahu and show you Chinaman's Hat, the movie site of Jurassic
Park, Kahana Bay, the Polynesian Cultural Center, Mormon Temple, BYU
Hawaii Campus, and the Kahuku Sugar Mill. Then turn the corner to track
the flight plan used by the Japanese pilots that attacked Pearl Harbor.

Island Seaplane Services - Island Seaplane operates the only seaplane service in Hawaii and I can convincingly say that it is one great flight. Taking off and landing on the calm waters of Keehi Lagoon is part of the excitement but flying in this propeller driven over-the-fuselage fixed-wing craft is more fun than you might realize. This is the only fixed-wing aircraft to have been recommended in Hawaii by both National Geographic and Frommer’s in 2001, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, and 2007. The pilot and company founder Pat Magie has had over 47 years of seaplane activity and has logged over 32,000 accident free hours in a seaplane which is a world record. He is without question one of the worlds foremost seaplane pilots and was named the worlds Seaplane pilot of the year in the year 2000. He has flown as a bush pilot in Northern Minnesota, Canada and Alaska for many years and has acted as a med-a-vac pilot for much of that time. Here in Hawaii he has become famous as a movie star of sorts, having flown his plane in many movies both on the big screen and on TV among which are “The Phantom”, “Godzilla”, “Fantasy Island”, and the “The Survivor” TV series. My favorite however was “The Phantom” staring Catherine Zeta Jones as a villainous lady seaplane pilot. In the footage for the movie he was required to wear a wig and dress like her in all the aerial scenes. His tours are wonderfully narrated and my favorite tour is the 60 minute in which he brings his plane in from between the two Oahu mountain ranges toward Pearl Harbor in the same trajectory that was taken by the Japanese fighter-bombers on December 7th, 1941. This is one of the most interesting and exciting aerial tours I have ever taken in Hawaii.
