Gunstock Ranch is a 400 acre working cattle ranch on the North Shore of Oahu. They offer horse training and boarding, livestock sales and a variety of guided horseback trail rides. Designed for all skill levels, these rides take you through lush trails of the Northern Koolau Mountains. A variety of rides are available including Oahu's only moonlight ride, offered twice a month during the full moon and a delightful "Sweetheart Ride" that will take out just the two of you. Come, spend an hour or more and witness breathtaking views while riding well-trained horses.

Gunstock Ranch - Gunstock Ranch is located on Oahu’s north shore about a ten minute ride from the Polynesian Cultural Center. The ranch is in the country with beautiful sweeping views of the North Shore. On my last visit to the ranch I was able to see giant swells coming in and breaking on the beach which often happens during the winter months. One of the great things about this ranch is that it generally caters to small groups of riders. They even have a “honeymoon ride” which is obviously just designed for two people. While I was at the ranch the head wrangler just received an email on her blackberry from a client that had just done that ride two weeks before. He had made arrangements for the trail boss to leave the couple alone at a romantic spot for about a half an hour. That was evidently just enough time to him to propose and for her to accept. He was very happy with the ride. The horses here are very well cared for and healthy and for those riders that have advanced equestrian abilities they can even trot, canter and run their horses. One other advantage to this ride is that since so many people want to spend a day at the Polynesian Cultural Center it makes good sense to sign up for a morning ride and then head over to the center after lunchtime.
