Watch them swimming or playing and if you're lucky, maybe they'll do a spin or a flip just to show you how much fun a dolphin can have! The Waianae Coastline is actually the only spot in Hawaii where you have not only an almost guaranteed likelihood of seeing dolphins but almost as great a likelihood of actually swimming with them as well. Don't be afraid. They like people as much as you like them. Your professional guide will be in the water with you making sure you're safe and making certain that you're not inadvertently interfering with them. Description: Afternoon Whale Watching. All excursions are led by seasoned island naturalist with years of experience, on the Wai'anae Coast. Hydrophones (underwater microphones) are also used to listen to the calls of the humpback whales and the dolphins. You will have 30-40 minutes of snorkeling (weather permitting) and about two hours of whale watching off the northern Waianae Coast and Kaena Point. Normally there is about a 50/50 chance of seeing Dolphins on this excursion.*
Operates: Daily, 12:30pm (hotel pickup begins at 8:15am)*
Departure Point: Hotel pickups from the Waikiki area, departs from Waianae Boat Harbor.
Duration: 5-6 hours
Equipment: Scarib vessel the "Nai'a I" is 32 feet, has twin 225 four stroke engines (no fumes and very quiet)
Capacity: Must have a minimum of 10 to go, maximum of 30 passengers.
Inclusions: Includes fruit snacks and juice or bottled water.
