The Battleship Missouri is one of the most frequented attractions on the island of Oahu. It reserves the distinction of being the most celebrated battleship ever built, after all it was on the decks of the Battleship Missouri that the documents ending World War ll were signed entering us into the new era of friendship and cooperation with the neighboring nations throughout the Pacific. This is a most interesting and educational exhibit which is a perfect activity for visitors of all ages.

The Mighty Mo Tour - a 35-minute tour with knowledgeable guides that provide colorful stories about the ship's history and life at sea. Stand where General Douglas MacArthur stood when he accepted the Instrument of Surrender that would end World War II; discover the thrilling details of the kamikaze attack on the Missouri; stand in the shadows of the 16-inch guns that pummeled Inchon, Korea; and see where 28 Tomahawk missiles were launched during the Gulf War. Available in Eachlish and Japanese.
The Acousitguide Audio Phone Tour - a self-guided tour filled with sound effects, historical and tactical information and special interviews from USS Missouri crew members. Over 100 listening stations are available throughout the ship, including the entire main deck, superstructures and Surrender Deck. The entire program is 2 hours in length and is one of the options included with the Mighty Mo Pass. Quantity is limited and is on a first-come-first-served basis. Battle Stations Tour - Battleship MissouriDescription: General Quarters, General Quarters, All Hands Man Your Battle Station." When this alarm was sounded on board the Mighty Mo, all hands stopped whatever they were doing and rushed to their battle stations while hatches were secured and the ship was prepared for action. This exciting new tour focuses on this most important aspect of life at sea for every officer and battleship sailor aboard. Your experienced guide will make it all come alive, from World War II in the Pacific with kamikaze attacks off Okinawa, through two frigid, arduous tours of duty during the Korean War and into the modern era of war in the Gulf during Operation Desert Storm. You will stand at the Captain's battle station on the bridge with its 17 inches of armor plating, peer into the massive 5 and 16-inch gun turrets and learn how they were manned, aimed, loaded and fired. View the missile decks, the flight deck and the modern Combat Engagement Center (CEC) where all weapons systems, including Tomahawk cruise missiles, CIWS Gatling guns and remotely powered vehicles (RPV) were monitored, controlled and tracked during Operation Desert Storm. This tour will inspire even the most experienced Navy personnel and excite all who participate, even those who have never before stepped foot on a battleship.
